Yeah, Circus is a complete monster lol.
It is a fun challenge to me, on paper she is one of the most diabolical characters I’ve ever created, but I want to keep the tone of this story from ever getting super dark from a violence standpoint at least (though we will be exploring some really dark/heavy themes, I’m challenging myself to not have gratuitous violence in this at least haha).

Yeah! It’s interesting, I’d say Zara and Final Paradise are both pretty edgy lmao. Final Paradise probably will be the most extreme, especially later. So M-Rated sounds right. I put it as “R-Rated” like a movie in the about section.
I’ve been thinking about that a lot recently, ever since webtoons implemented their rating stuff. I want to put content warning in the about section soon. I’ve had to do that recently with Webtoons and once I move all my comics over there and comic fury (as well as other places) eventually I want to have a better grasp on content rating stuff from all angles. I know lots of people don’t give a crap but it might help some to have those overall categorizations so I want to do it right.
For Live Yasha I’ve always wanted it to get progressively darker and psychological during some parts/arcs, things like abuse, suicide and genocide do come up in a way that’s taken seriously by characters in story, but also never in a way that’s like overwrought or /w excessive blood and guts. Overall I’d say Yasha will have lots of lighthearted vibes. Then on the other hand, at times it’ll be something a bit more intense than say Avatar the Last Airbender. With a few spots that turn into Gurren Lagann, maybe even Evangelion esque haha. I have to put a bit more thought into it tbh all I can muster are comparing it to other media lmao.
Besides violence there’s def not explicit sexual content or anything of that nature in this story so that’s easy to categorize. But to be perfectly honest one day on top when I do early page touch ups I want to tweak some designs. The barbarian cave people designs I made a long time ago for Yasha and most the islanders is a bit unintentionally risque lol. Plus I just think they could look more interesting with a bit more added to their island get ups. I’ll have an excuse to change up their wardrobe soon in story coming up, but I’ll also probably update Yasha/Nia/Sin’s existing designs in one swoop, in the far future. So they can be a little more interesting looking and not just Red Sonja mixed with the Flinstones.
Ultimately I think the content rating stuff is not like a HUGE necessity and I’ll probably distill this to a short warning in the about section, but still I’m glad you brought this up I may talk to you and others more about it, I find it interesting XD.

Imagine if after that was said, another character looked into the screen and said “hey but really fascism IS bad” LMAO. I know that anyone awesome enough to read my stories knows me enough and is intelligent enough to know that like 99% of my characters are not mouthpieces for my actual opinions lmao. And that the overall story will probably naturally show my biases and views in more subtle ways most of the time. But yeah, interesting topic, I think it’s still nice to give warnings and know on a general level where your story goes.

I wonder what it was her Captain did to Quinna? That was a brilliantly tense scene, but reading being wanted “for every crime imaginable” made me giggle. Great episode.

Yeah lol. In this world faeries are really tall usually. A good amount of them can fly too. What Circus’ is doing there with the purple and yellow stuff coming from that villager will be explored later, but I can say it has to do with her powers (which in this world anyone can get in theory, even some non humanoid animals).
Yeah. Lots happened. And she seems hesitant to talk about it. Might be partly due to how omnipresent Circus can be. Can’t be fun having a hovering boss always keeping tabs on everything you do lol. I’m glad I’m not still in my college retail days lmao.
