  1. It looks like Quina has a good reason to be afraid to fail Circus. Yasha is a viscious fighter when her friends and family are on the line. Great update. That’s some heavy hitting action!

    1. Definitely! Quinna has been through a lot as is implied on this page she has mixed feelings about Circus to say the very least. Maybe Nia’s conversation may have softened her a little to them even if an iota.

Yasha never shies away from a fight to protect her friends/family! And thank you!! I love doing action.

  2. Damn Yasha, kicking ass even with no energy. What Nia? Just realized she saw Infinity at a bar one time or something? That’ll turn the tidesπŸ’€

    1. Haha! And I’ll say as angry as she is now, Yasha hasn’t even quite “snapped” yet in this fight. Stay tuned! It will get real, especially if she gains more tools she’s missing when she has more power stored πŸ˜€

  3. Poor giant wavy haired shadow…………it just wants to stay low key

    1. He just wants to vibe man

  4. Circus is so evil 😭 I love it. What a great villainess. Hang in there Yasha!

    1. Circus is a monster for sure lol. Scary thing is, she’s a huge threat and kicks off the first big conflict in this story, but I wouldn’t consider her the main antagonistic force/organization in this world!

Though she’s arguably one of the individually strongest and most outwardly chaotic lol.

  5. the breakdown of their powers is really fascinating. how much does a full power punch hurt someone who doesn’t have the same powers?

    1. I’m glad you think so!! Before meeting Quinna, Yasha was used to dominating pretty much anyone/anything, when her “energy tank” is full she’s insanely powerful. Can casually throw sea monsters, blow holes through mountains ect. How powerful she is actually isn’t static too, slowly over time she can increase the size of her energy “tank”.

Since Quinna is another absorber, their punches hit eachother like they would if they didn’t have powers, just a random thing that happens lol. Both Quinna and Yasha can also emit energy they absorb in the form of a blast that looks like fire, but they don’t do that to each other because that would just be given the other absorber energy to absorb back and forth.

  6. Crazy good fight choreography sovember

    1. Thanks!! I do a bit of BJJ and muay thai for fun so I had reference haha. Though looking at some shots I still messed some subtle details up πŸ˜‚

  7. I feel sorry for Nia. She’s the only normal human in the battlefield

    1. Right? Poor Nia, only one without powers (don’t worry Yasha and Quinna and Sin are human too just super powers XD)

  8. をユけゃんπŸ’₯

    Cool effects

  9. ❄️ lce Bear

Tradgedy. Everyone has an understandable strategy. Looks like they’re going off the rails until someone dies πŸ™ƒ

  10. If she can absorb more power then maybe she can turn it around

  11. Larissa Nunez-Hill

Yes. I don’t know why you’re so surprised that Yasha is so angry Quinna, you’re invading her home and attacking everyone! Quinna does seem like she’s not irredeemably evil. I love the nuance of this situation. Maybe Nia could have convinced her if she chose her words differently?

  12. The way the shadow thing just GRABS them both mid-fight?? That’s terrifying. And now Nia knows something?? WHAT DOES SHE KNOW??

    1. Very good questions! Infinity is a really powerful little (and big) helper for Quinna. Can’t wait to show y’all more about them, and why they have been pretty passive in this fight specifically πŸ˜€

  13. Yasha’s so raw for calling Quinna out mid-fight like that 😭

  14. Yasha: throws hands
    Quinna: β€˜You don’t understand!’
    Yasha: throws hands harder

    1. ACCURATE πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  15. every time Quinna starts talking I almost feel bad for her

    1. Very good point..this is a pretty tragic situation in general!

  16. Man, Quinna’s been gaslighting herself this whole time. Sad.

    1. Quinna’s a very complicated character for sure! I can’t wait to get more into what makes her tick and what happened with her.

At the moment, Yasha is not very moved by her conflicted sadness at all though lmao

  17. You know she’s desperate when she starts bringing up how scary Circus is instead of actually fighting.

  18. Yasha fights like she’s got a personal grudge against the concept of holding back

    1. That might be the best way I’ve heard to describe her fighting style yet. No joke lol!

Hopefully you guys enjoy the last two pages of this episode/encounter, plenty of that fighting style! I’m scrambling to get them out before March, going to have to take a bit of a webcomic break starting in April so here’s hoping I come through for yall πŸ™‚

  19. Very cool touch up page in discord btw. The underwater sequence is beautiful. Sin reminds me of early Sokka from Avatar mixed with BlackStar from Soul Eater. I don’t know what else he fucking expected Yasha would do in that situation. DUMBASS.

    1. Thanks!! I had a lot of fun doing that page. I like those sequences too, though I’m going to go back and lower the saturation and effects a bit, looks a bit garish/murky imo. Need those looking good for this upcoming portion of the Quinna v Yasha fight!

LOL that’s a great comparison. Yeah Sokka’s a good point actually, since he has a bit of that warrior role/sexism stuff early on in the story before growing. As well as Naruto/BlackStar style ego. Boy does he have worse luck than any of them though LMAO.

Yeah, it was almost self inflicted. Taunting Yasha like that was suicide πŸ˜‚ Yasha’s place in the island is actually something of a sore spot too for her, he really asked to be annihilated lol

      1. Yeah he royall fucked up. Sin’s deadass Black Star and a little bit of Sokka. That’s not a complaint btw. Yasha reminds me of Ryuko Matoi and maybe a bit of Taiga Aisaka.

  20. You watching Solo Leveling btw? I know a dude who can’t stop yapping about it. Maybe the first “webtoon” anime that’s half decent. Seems a bit generic from what I’ve read though. But maybe the anime hits different or some shit.

    1. Nah haven’t caught up on Solo Leveling! I watched a bit of it with peeps before, and I’ve read a lot of chapters of it a while ago. It’s fun, it’s mostly just epic fights and a really drawn out power fantasy lol. It gets pretty unintnentionally funny in the webtoon tbh, they just keep glazing the MC and he just gets stronger without running into any difficulty beating anyone lmao. It gets a bit… repetitive eventually.

“…I didn’t know he was THIS strong”.
      “Who IS this guy?”
      “Oh my god…he’s SO sexy!” πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ .

But the animation’s pretty great in the show, and before it gets repetitive it’s fun seeing the simple fun of him absolutely merk peeps like One Punch Man I guess haha.

DUDE I was just talking to some people a lot about the webtoon anime stuff. They’re going in on the anime production stuff. Recently they announced they’re going to make A LOT more webtoon anime thanks to Solo Leveling’s success. Half the people I know are looking forward to their favorites (or their webtoons) potentially being animated, and other half are artists I know just, uh, despise webtoon LMAO.

Whether it’s a dislike for the scroll format aesthetically and/or the company for it’s shady practices and unending influence on digital comic landscape…but no denying they’re really exploding in popularity lately for better or worse. I don’t really feel much distinction that others do between the format or medium that comic artists choose. There’s some banger manga/manhwa/western etc. comics and styles to be found. I hope more people get the opportunity to have their stuff fully animated even if they’re not hosted on webtoons!
